Printed Circuit Design

The standard printed circuit board design package includes the following.

1. Board outline
2. Component decals with proper outlines, setting of pad size and drill
3. Import components to board outline
4. Import Net list for electrical connections
       a. Net attributes, set perimeters for high voltage, etc., spacing, conductor width, and current
       b. Set up capacitates, match pairs, Radio frequency, high speed, shielded, class and isolation
5. Parts placement
       a. Critical parts placement
       b. Fixed components
       c. Physical constraints
       d. Groupings, circuits, voltage, connectors, balance fo parts and available space
6. Routing
       a. Hand routing for power, grounds, high voltage/current, critical nets and remaining nets
       b. Auto-Routing – allows the software to automatically route.*

*At GenArt Design we prefer hand routing to auto-routing. Auto-routing has been proven to be inefficient causing higher cost and higher rates of error. It may take more time to accomplish the results manually, however it ensures the most accurate results and higher quality results.

7.    Labeling/generation of silkscreen text on board
8.    Assembly drawing which takes board design and creates specific instructions for manufacturer to
       follow in assembly.
9.    Generate the Gerber files which include all artwork layers, all paste masks and solder mask layers,
silkscreen layers, fabrication and drill drawings, tooling files, NC drill files, placement files and test
       point files.
10.  Generate documentation package in the form of a binder, files on CD, outline of contents, instructions
on how to import digital files into a mechanical drafting packing, artwork, Gerber files in Gerber or pdf
       format, and assembly instructions.

  Average Documentation Package Includes:

1.   1:1 PDF check plots
